When I was working in theatre, I did sound design for every production I directed - whether it meant putting together a fantastic soundtrack or digitally manipulating audio to create sound FX and soundscapes. Then, in 2005, a colleague of mine from the theatre world approached me and asked if I would participate in a staged reading of his "spoken-word comic-book rock-opera" and that eventually led to my work turning it into an 8-episode podcast. We also performed the whole story in front of a live audience, which required transating all of the SFX from the podcast into a series tracks and loops that could be controlled during the performance.
